Landscape – Autumn in France

The inspiration for this gorgeous French landscape was a painting by Paul Cézanne. The distant houses and ground cover have a watercolour translucency by virtue of fine thread and delicate stitches. The frontal plain presents a conversation of colour, tone and line, which is translated in different threads and textures. Go crazy with colour – The landscape with textured threads can be combined with paint and traditional stitches.
Couched cords, hand-dyed threads and fibres create a mesh of trees through which the viewer can observe the distant landscape.
